pies and wet babies

Marsala has needed a bath since before we moved. Jon and I were grilling our dinner in the backyard tonight when the baby sat in our bedroom window and mewed longingly at us. I went upstairs, got her leash, and brought her outside. This re-affirmed her need for a bath.


Now we're not on speaking terms. Which was fine with me because I had a very important task at hand:

This was 2 lbs and cost $4.50. There were 1-lb cartons at 2/$5. That makes no sense!



We followed this recipe. It was very easy to do (and yes I lazed it up and used a store-bought pie shell). It has to cool in the fridge for several hours and Jon is NOT happy about that. Truthfully, neither am I.
