master bedroom preview

Yesterday we were blessed by help from several hands:
-Jon's dad painted the upstairs hallway & edged the stairwell/foyer--painting is almost completely done inside the house!
-Jon's uncle gave us a huge window AC unit as a housewarming/baby gift and installed it (which included converting the electrical outlet) in the dining room, fixed our dryer attachment so that I have a dryer now, and replaced our kitchen sink faucet so that I no longer have to wash dishes in the bath tub!
-my dad hung up several of our pictures/wall decor and installed our bedroom window AC unit--yay no more melting at night!
-my mom painted the stripes in the nursery and cleaned our disgusting downstairs half bath which I was perpetually avoiding

To see the progress that got made in such a short amount of time was so encouraging and took a huge load off my mind. Our bedroom is pretty much done at this point since the pictures have been hung, so I figured now is as good a time as any to give you a peek into what I consider my sanctuary:
The only thing that remains to be done in here--cut that curtain rod size
Props to my dad for coming up with that picture configuration to balance the position of the dresser!
His & her closets
Thinking about getting some sort of decal for the wall behind the bed.

To the four of you who helped us so much yesterday: thank you, thank you, thank you times infinity. Seriously.

Today we went to church and ran some errands. Jon cut the grass while I continued the unpacking/rearranging process. Each box that gets unpacked brings me such joy. It's the little things in life.
