practicing

With Baby Flip's arrival less than 6 weeks away (we hope!), Jon and I, but mostly Jon, have been in overdrive trying to prepare ourselves for his/her arrival. Here are the scenes in our house lately:
Buckled!
Swaddled!

We are mostly prepared to bring the baby home. There are a few minor things I'd still like to hang and get settled in the nursery, but otherwise all of BF's clothes have been washed and put away, the diaper bag has been packed for the hospital, and the car seat is ready to be installed. All we really need to do is take our newborn education class in the beginning of July and pack our bags. More and more people are claiming there's no way I will make it to my due date because of my size, and let me tell you: with how uncomfortable I'm already feeling I hope they're right. I'm praying this babe will decide it's ready to come into the world mid- to late-July. Sleep got worse even when I thought that wasn't possible and now just being awake is uncomfortable. However, if this baby is anywhere near as stubborn as Jon and me, I have a feeling I will need to be induced...

    1. Thanks for the kind words! We are feeling the same way--when we think about being responsible for a tiny human we can be very overwhelmed! We've been very blessed with a strong support system and great parents as role models so we know we will have lots of help along the way. Congrats on your baby! Do you know what you're having?
