five on friday

{source}
{1} Turns out the handleset we initially ordered for our front door is back-ordered so we are looking for a replacement. What do you think about this one?

 (I chose to scramble my egg because runny yolks gross me out)
{2} This Blue Apron meal BLEW ME AWAY. My version is nowhere near as pretty as the one on their site but it was so good. I never would have thought to put these ingredients together and holy heck am I glad we tried this. We may have bought the ingredients again yesterday to have it again (except this time I subbed avocado for egg and Jon subbed potatoes for egg).

{3} This picture-perfect birds nest. They're either house finches or purple finches. Every day a new egg appeared until yesterday.

{4} Since the siding of our house is being replaced we are talking about painting our front door a muted coral. Do you think that is too tacky for a house nowhere near an ocean or otherwise sunny locale?

{5} It is April 7th in Ohio, which can only mean one thing: heavy, wet snow. A lot of it. Ugh..

Linking up with AmyKatieAprilAndreaNarci and Erika!

  1. I've definitely got to try Blue Apron at some point. I keep hearing rave reviews! That nest looks like something out of a magazine right now. I want to pin it or something. :) And I love that coral color for the front door, I think it especially works with black hardware. I think you can pull it off! Thanks for stopping by my blog today and have a happy Friday!

  2. I really like houses with bright/fun coloured doors! I think it adds personality to a home and it always makes me think the people who live there are interesting folks.

  3. I like the coral door. I say that anyone who doesn't like your colors can start making your mortgage payments, then they can choose the color!
