weekend recap

On Friday evening we had pizza then headed to a friend's house for a little bit to hang out and play.

Saturday morning, Jon's parents came by for a few hours to visit the kids. They brought them some suckers that had lips for the stick. The kids had them after lunch and thought it was hilarious that they had pretend lips.
Jon made homemade falafel and it was incredible.
In the afternoon we headed to church to celebrate friends of ours that are moving to Oregon next month.
We were able to set a sprinkler up outside for the kids to play in.
It was a great evening and while we are super sad to be losing our friends to the other side of the country we are so excited for them to be closer to their families.

On Sunday morning, Edith chose her church outfit:
Elden did, too. Yes, that's a rash guard.
After lunch, the kids chose fruit roll-ups with tongue tattoos for their treat.
After nap/quiet time we braved the heat and headed to my parents' house to celebrate my grandma's 87th birthday.
Since it was super hot out we set up a kiddie pool. Etta's happiest place is definitely in the water.
It was a really nice weekend and we are so glad we got to spend a lot of time with family and friends.
